Synopsis:
WeRPN Practice Associate Marilyn Oliver presents how nurses can support and celebrate diversity, inclusion, and belonging during the holiday season along with strategies to engage and respect diverse cultures.

Marilyn Oliver is a dedicated and experienced Registered Practical Nurse. Since graduating in 2010, she has built a diverse career in health care, gaining valuable clinical experience through hands-on practice in settings such as home and community care, complex care, and acute care. Her professional journey also includes teaching in the Personal Support Worker program at GTA College and joining WeRPN in 2022 as a Case Manager in the BEGIN program. In 2023, she transitioned to WeRPN’s Professional Practice department.
Marilyn has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Educational Studies at Ontario Tech University, specializing in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), and is currently pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree. In her role as a Professional Practice Associate, she supports the development of practice education and provides essential resources for Registered Practical Nurses across Ontario.
