I’m loving these discussions! Thank you all for sharing. There are many differences between managers and leaders, but either can be both! Often we see that outside pressures, financial restraints, time and staffing issues can affect a manager or leader’s performance. There are different expectations placed on different roles, but just by attaining management status, does not automatically make you a leader. This discussion may also afford you a moment to look at your managers and better understand why some are just not able to have the capacity to be leaders themselves… although maybe they are able to inspire leadership!
