A big “a-ha” moment I had during the pandemic was during the first wave. I just want to share this story because I think it’s applicable to this topic.
I was working at an LTC facility that was very hard hit with COVID. It was one of the five homes that had the Canadian Armed Forces come in and help. We had a team from a local hospital come in and help out with educating and implementing infection control practices. One of the main sources for contamination and spread of the virus was through donning and doffing PPE. This plays a major role with how healthcare workers become infected and it was found that a big risk was the staff breakroom.
This module makes me think of this moment. I wonder if any of you have had any “a-ha” moments you’d be willing to share.
