I do believe there are differences between a leader and a manager. Leaders focus on people. They know who their team members are, and spend most of their time with them. While managers focus on structures and also plan on details.They would like to ensure systems are in place and able to attain desired outcome. Leaders are often advocators. They would like to try new things, while managers work to minimize risks. When I was a nursing student, my patho teacher who is also the leader of this program is very a decisive leader and a good listener. Whenever there is a conflict, she always listens to the two parties carefully and is able to resolve the problem in a quite fair way. She will also gives creative suggestions to her members on how to resolve the similar problems in the future. I feel I learned a lot from her and feel lucky to have such a leader.
