Hi Pimonrat. I believe I have the same communication style of “feeler” as you are describing as well! Your example reminds me of similar situations that I have been in as well. So many times I have learnt such valuable information about residents under my care from discussing them “big picture” and trying to understand the resident at an emotional level first with care team members, especially when the resident’s are not able to speak as easily for themselves such as seen in resident’s with dementia. It often times seems that there are emotional needs not being met when a resident may display a behaviour and it is very helpful to know resident’s better emotionally so that you can effectively evaluate their triggers and try to prevent escalation of such behaviours in the future.
