Jen, Koodo’s to you for taking the leadership skills to allow your rpn to step out of her comfort zone and do the dressing! Being a new nurse is challenging for small. Even though I was a very mature woman when I graduated, I still wen into my new job with much trepidation!!! School gives you the basic’s, but in no way shape or form prepares you for what is to come!!! I love teaching, and love to take the time to provide ” guided” training for new staff/nurses. We ourselves are learning everyday, so take that knowledge and empower our young nurses to step outside their comfort zone/insecurity and learn new skills so they gain confidence and “hopefully” share their new knowledge/skills to teaching new nurses!
