I honestly can say I probably have not been 100% perfect in my IPAC practices. At times with things busy and rushed it can be easy to forget a step.

At my current workplace at a small retirement home I am the first DOC the home has had so I currently am spending time trying to tighten up their IPAC program, perform audits of hand hygiene and infection control procedures and having staff demonstrate proper PPE procedures. I have been very lucky with this home as they have been very good with their infection control and were lucky enough to not experience a covid outbreak. But because of this it is easy for staff to forget the importance of good infection control practices and can be easy for them to shrug it off.
