Hi Jen, I totally agree with you. I experienced working with Med-Techs when I worked in retirement home last two year. It was pandemic situation and we had no enough registered staffs to work during that time. Most of my shift,I had Med-Techs working under my supervision. Med-Techs could give orally medication only. Therefore, I had to give injection , and contacted the doctor or POA if needed, etc. There were 70 resident were under my care, and it was difficult time for me to change and adjust this changing. When there was medication error, I had to take responsibility. Therefore, it was very challenging to work with Med-Techs.
