My reply is to Jen and her experience in her first week on a memory clinic. We don’t know what we don’t know, and learning from experience is how we actually learn. You had a knee jerk response to a POA’s situation regarding the current situation with her parent. Of course you were trying to be respectful of their current logistic situation in getting their mom to the appointment, and you accommodated their request. These type of situations is how we grow as critical thinkers.
Given that experience, if you were presented with a similar situation now how would you respond? We are all new at something at some point in our career. There is no way possible for anyone to know how to manage every situation presented, but given time and experience we learn how to think outside the box and problem solve.
