Hi Amanda. This situation you described hits very close to home for me. When I worked in RH during the pandemic, I was delegated the task of running PCR test clinics “in-home” for staff, residents, and resident’s family members. At first, the task of scheduling the appointments was given to the Wellness/nursing team, but when this tied up our phone lines and took us away from other tasks that were of higher priority at the bedside, we asked for the task to be taken on by our Concierge team. We were met with some pushback, but after organizing the scheduling method for the Concierge team and having a meeting with management on how much time this would save the nursing team, Concierge took over the task and the conflict was ultimately productive.
