Hi Kathleen. Wow- 45 years of yoga practice, that is awesome to hear. It’s so true how you mentioned how important our support systems and hobbies such as yoga to reduce our stress in our personal lives are to us as nurses. Your post really made me stop and think about what types of activities I can increase in my own life to help with this. I used to practice Bikram Yoga but stopped a few years ago and am looking to start up again because I remember really loving it back then. I recently really started to study and practice meditation and learn about how powerful our breathing is to our entire nervous system and emotional regulation and furthermore, richness of our life experience. Thank you for inspiring me to re-explore the world of yoga again!
