The most important trait for a leader is someone who is co-operative. Leaders guide the tasks of others and delegate, but someone who is willing to work along side you regardless of the task at hand is very important.

The population of students that I work with often struggles with a variety of mental health issues due to poverty and domestic violence. These students will often lash out at staff who they normally have a good and trusting relationship with when they are frustrated and lose control of their emotions. This can put us in some dangerous situations at points. I felt very supported by the teacher I worked with last year. She always got in on these tough situations to help us out and keep everyone safe and calm the situation. I compare that to this year where I feel the opposite is true. I think the teacher I work with this year is just not willing to deal with students who are struggling, and I have felt unsupported and unsafe at points.
