Let’s get to know each other better. Tell us a little about yourself in a few lines. Don’t forget to say hello and comment on your fellow students’ posts.
Hello, my name is Shannon. I am a OR nurse in Orillia. Although new to the Orillia hospital, not new to nursing. This is my 28th year and still looking for new tools to enhance my practice. In 2022 I graduated from a Community Development program in which research was introduced, I’m hoping to explore how to marry the skills and apply to healthcare.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and hope we can all grow together in this course.
28yrs! That is amazing – I can’t wait to glean some insight and experience from you. Did you enjoy the community development program?
Hello, my name is Ashley. I work in Home & Community nursing and am currently loving a placement with a lovely little friend who has just started kindergarten. So fun to be nursing and hanging around little ones all day. I work in the Halton & Hamilton regions. I am interested to hear about how research can be used in my practice and also what other opportunities are available to me as an RPN. I am curious to see how our discussions can apply to my scope of practice. As a community nurse it can be quite lonely not having other coworkers readily available to ask questions and explore ideas. Off to give a g-feed and sing circle time songs I go. Cheers, looking forward to hearing from more of you.
