The following documents were developed by the Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee on Infection Prevention and Control (PIDAC-IPC). PIDAC-IPC is a multidisciplinary scientific advisory body that provides evidence-based advice to Public Health Ontario (PHO) regarding multiple aspects of infectious disease identification, prevention and control.

This document sets out interim best practices using a precautionary approach for the prevention, surveillance and management of an outbreak of a novel respiratory infection in health care settings across the continuum of care.
