This webinar will focus on tips and strategies for RPNs who are interested in developing their leadership knowledge and skills, and who may be interested in attaining a formal leadership position
Speaker bio
Brenda graduated originally from an RNA (RPN) program, and has twice returned to school to career ladder, first to complete an RN diploma program and then to complete a BScN. She maintains dual registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as both an RPN and RN. Brenda has clinical experience working on Continuing Care, Medicine, and Maternal Child, and about 20 years of nursing leadership experience.
Brenda served on the Board of Directors for the Registered Practical Nurses Association and as president from 2012 to 2014. In 2008, Brenda received the RPNAO Award of Excellence and Innovation, and in 2010 and 2017, received the Southlake Regional Health Centre Dr David Hill Memorial Award for patient-centred care.
In 2022, Brenda joined the team at WeRPN in the BEGIN Program and in 2023 began her role as Manager of Professional Practice.
