What are some key factors influencing health care decision-making and how would you suggest the process is streamlined?

There are many key factors influencing health care decision-making. It begins with where you work. What sector are you in and what are the most critical decisions to be made where you are. The next is at the local level. What does your town/city council consider to be important as far as health of people in the area is concerned. Next is the state or province you are in. What health factors are important to citizens overall in the area?

These layers bureaucracy make it difficult for most people to get their heal care needs, wants, ideas, across and ensure adequate availability and funding. I think a more “ground up” approach is what is needed to help with healthcare reform. People at all levels should be able to speak up about health care concerns and feel welcome to bring those concerns to the various levels of governments and really be heard by all. Too many health care decisions follow a top to down approach that does not allow the concerns of everyone to be heard.
