Choose a portion of your research project you wish to present on. For example, if you have not started your research project, you can write an abstract focusing on your clinical problem (Background), research question (Objectives), how you completed your literature search, search terms, etc (Methods), and your recommendations and research project plan (Conclusion).

Hello Jen, I am uncertain if I’ve addressed this section correctly, as the instructions are somewhat ambiguous and seem to overlap with Activity 1A. Nonetheless, I hope my response will suffice 🙂

A comprehensive literature search was conducted using electronic databases such as PubMed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar. Search terms included combinations of “adverse childhood experience,” “childhood trauma,” “opioid misuse,” “substance use disorder,” and related terms. Studies encompassing quantitative correlational analyses and qualitative investigations were included.

Findings from this research project will contribute to our understanding of the complex relationship between ACE and opioid misuse, highlighting the importance of early intervention and trauma-informed care. Recommendations stemming from this study may include the implementation of ACE screening protocols in clinical settings, developing tailored interventions addressing trauma-related factors, and integrating ACE-informed approaches into public health initiatives. Additionally, future research directions may involve longitudinal studies to examine the long-term outcomes of ACE-informed interventions and the effectiveness of community-based prevention programs in reducing opioid misuse.

This presentation will focus on the literature review and recommendations that are part of a larger research project.

Research Question: How can Primary Care Providers reduce parental vaccine hesitancy and improve childhood primary immunization rates.

A thorough literature search was conducted using PubMed to explore effective strategies for addressing parental vaccine hesitancy regarding their children’s immunizations. The search employed Boolean search terms “Vaccine Hesitancy” AND “Parents” AND “Increase”. The identified prime articles included mixed methods, combining quantitative and qualitative data through various approaches such as narrative and systemic reviews and secondary data analysis.

Preliminary findings from this study stress the importance of disseminating accurate information, building trust in healthcare providers, and addressing underlying concerns and misconceptions regarding vaccines. We advocate for ongoing efforts to improve vaccine acceptance and prevent outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases through targeted interventions. Future research directions include addressing identified gaps in the current study and evaluating the long-term effectiveness of intervention strategies and assessing their impact on vaccination rates.
